We are a grass-roots group made up of all volunteers.
In 2013, we were inspired by the images below of scarves left for people out in the cold in other cities and decided to make a few fleece scarves and leave them around the city in areas where people experiencing homelessness are often stuck out in the cold.
Now, 12 years later, our annual goal is to distribute more than 1,000 items. THANK YOU!
We are happy to accept donations of fleece, yarn, finished products, & of course, money to help us provide warmth to our neighbors in need each year. Volunteers and businesses have donated money, time, and materials to help make winter a little warmer around Jacksonville.
Since 2013, we have shared more than 19,727 items to help those in need, including 8,250 scarves, 7,229 hats, 3,168 gloves, 1,080 other warm items.
In 2018, we started tracking volunteer hours, and in five years, our volunteers had given more than 15,000 hours of their time and talent.
